Dynniq is delivering all technical installations for Amsterdam’s new metro line, the Noord/Zuidlijn (North/South Line). The new metro line is 11,5 km in total, with 9,5 km underground, burrowing beneath the historic city centre and the IJ river. A challenging project as Amsterdam is a compact, historic city built on a marsh.
The build has proven a time consuming, expensive and controversial. However, it is also vital in connecting the north and south ends of the city. All the more reason for Dynniq to get its part in the exercise absolutely right: designing, engineering and installing the entire power system, including traction installations, heated points, and laying and connecting power cables for the new metro line. The line is set to open in 2018.
